The beginner rug punch class will cover all the basics of using yarn and a punch needle - prepping your piece, threading your needle, spacing stitches and even transferring pattern ideas onto your backing fabric.

You will create from start to finish an embroidery piece to hang using yarn, monks cloth and an embroidery hoop. You can choose from a number of different designs that include: four leaves, strawberry, watermelon, flower and mountain, waving tulips, lemon, single flower, pumpkin, rainbow or cat. You may also choose your own design in class.

The class fee includes all materials, including the much-coveted oxford punch needle, and some light refreshments. You only need to bring a pair of sharp scissors.
